To Our Incredible Volunteers
Volunteers are the heartbeat of Hospice Whanganui. From our shops to our gardens, from sitting with patients to helping at events, their aroha is woven through everything we do. With more than 130 volunteers giving their time and skills freely, we are able to continue offering free, compassionate care to patients and whānau across Whanganui.

The Dixon Family Journey
When Graham Dixon was diagnosed with renal cancer, his wish was simple — to remain at home, surrounded by whānau and the land he loved. With the support of Hospice Whanganui and community services, Graham was able to live with dignity, comfort, and aroha until the very end. His whānau share their story of resilience, compassion, and the difference hospice care made in their lives.
