Complaints and Feedback

You have the right to provide informal feedback or make a formal complaint at any time.

Informal Feedback

We encourage you to provide feedback and suggestions to us throughout your care and for your whānau to do the same.

If for whatever reason you are not comfortable or satisfied with the care you are receiving, or with any aspect of Hospice Whanganui’s service, we would love to hear from you.

You can speak directly to one of the staff caring for you, or email confidentially the address below, or you may prefer a paper feedback form (in which case, please ask one of our team to get this for you).

Formal Complaints

You also have the right to make a formal complaint whenever you feel that your rights have not been upheld.

You may write confidentially and directly to our Chief Executive Officer on ceo@hospicewhanganui.org.nz

You can also lodge a formal complaint with the Health & Disability Commissioner, who will be able to support you through the process of making a complaint. They are a free service.
