Helen Leslie – CEO
Helen joined Hospice in February 2025. Prior to joining our team, she spent several years working with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade as a senior health adviser and has also done a stint working as an academic, teaching and researching in Australia and Fiji on health inequality. She has also held a number of diplomatic postings including to Fiji and Samoa, and holds a PhD from Massey University. She is married to Willy Morrell, a local business owner and they have three children.

Teri Albert – Director of Integrated Services
Teri (Ngā Paerangi me Ngati Ruaka) joined Hospice in 2024 and oversees all of our frontline service teams including our nursing, medical, health-care assistant and whānau support teams. She brings with her a wealth of experience in the health and social services in Whanganui, and has held senior leadership positions, most recently as Kaihautu – Service Manager for Te Puawa Whānau and Toiora Whānau services at Te Oranganui Trust. Teri is born and raised in Whanganui and is passionate about bringing excellent palliative care to all whānau in our community.
