Returns to Support Hospice Whanganui

From 13 November 2025, Farmers Whanganui will once again join Farmers stores across Aotearoa to raise funds for local hospice services through the annual Farmers Christmas Campaign.

Now in its twelfth year, the partnership between Farmers and hospices throughout New Zealand has raised more than $9 million to help keep hospice care free of charge for patients and their whānau.

Between 13 November and Christmas Eve, customers can support Hospice Whanganui by:

  • Purchasing this year’s limited-edition β€˜Holly’ bauble for $15.99, or
  • Donating to the Tree of Remembrance in-store at Farmers Whanganui.

Each bauble sold and every message written for the Tree of Remembrance stays right here in our community, directly supporting free, specialist palliative care for local patients and their whānau.

β€œWe’re incredibly grateful to the Farmers Whanganui team and to everyone who chooses to give through this campaign,” says Helen Leslie, Chief Executive of Hospice Whanganui.

β€œEvery bauble purchased and every message placed on the Tree of Remembrance directly supports patients and families in our community to receive the care and comfort they need.”

The 2025 bauble features sprigs of holly – a familiar symbol of Christmas that represents protection, good fortune, eternal life, and resilience. It’s a fitting reflection of the strength and compassion shown by hospice teams, patients, and whānau every day.

Hospice New Zealand Patron Jo Seagar adds:

β€œHospice helps people receive compassionate, end-of-life care so they can focus on living life well to the end. Thank you for supporting Hospice at Farmers this Christmas.”

Hospice services across the country rely on community donations and fundraising to meet the growing need for specialist palliative care. Supporting this campaign helps ensure hospice care remains free for everyone who needs it.

There are limited numbers of the baubles available, and they sell out every year – so be sure to visit Farmers Whanganui or shop online at farmers.co.nz to get yours before Christmas Eve.
