A group of BNI Whanganui members gather with Hospice Whanganui CEO Helen Leslie during a recent breakfast meeting, where BNI Whanganui presented a donation to support free specialist palliative care for patients and whānau in the Whanganui region.

Hospice Whanganui recently had the pleasure of visiting BNI Whanganui to share more about the work we do supporting patients and whānau across our community.

Our Chief Executive, Helen Leslie, was warmly welcomed to a BNI Whanganui breakfast meeting, where members took the opportunity to learn more about hospice care and the impact it has for families when they need it most.

During the visit, BNI Whanganui generously presented Hospice Whanganui with a $800 donation, contributed collectively by its members. This gift reflects BNI’s strong commitment to giving back and supporting organisations that make a meaningful difference locally.

“Community support like this helps ensure we can continue providing free, specialist palliative care to patients and whānau across Whanganui,” says Helen Leslie. “We’re incredibly grateful to BNI Whanganui for their generosity and for taking the time to connect with our mahi.”

BNI Whanganui is built on the belief that business is about more than commerce – it’s about connection, community, and making a positive impact. Their support helps Hospice Whanganui continue delivering care grounded in dignity, choice, and aroha.

We extend our sincere thanks to the BNI Whanganui members for their generosity and for standing alongside Hospice Whanganui in caring for our community.
