Supports Hospice Retail

Students worked together to design, collect, and analyse customer feedback to support Hospice Whanganui’s retail planning.

In October, Hospice Whanganui welcomed a group of Business Studies students from Whanganui High School into our retail spaces to carry out a customer survey across our three Hospice shops.

Following a conversation with Claire Libeau, Assistant HOD of Social Sciences, the students designed and conducted a survey focused on key aspects of the retail experience, including customer service, store layout, product variety, pricing, and overall experience.

This initiative grew out of a retail hui held in August, where Hospice Whanganui discussed the future direction of our shops and the importance of listening to our community as we continue to evolve. The student-led survey provided valuable, real-world insights that will help inform future planning and improvements.

Hospice Whanganui would like to extend our sincere thanks to Claire for her coordination and leadership, to the students for their professionalism, enthusiasm, and thoughtful engagement, and to the many community members who took the time to share their feedback.

We are proud to support opportunities that connect young people with meaningful, real-world learning, while also strengthening our connection with the wider Whanganui community. This collaboration has been a great example of how learning, community, and care can come together in practical and positive ways.
