Farmers stores throughout New Zealand team up with their local hospice every year to raise funds. The Whanganui Farmers store and Hospice Whanganui, together with the people of Whanganui, combined to raise $10,662. Hospice staff visited Farmers with a delicious morning tea to express their thanks.
Funds were raised in a variety of ways: Farmers customers bought a card to for the in-store Christmas Remembrance tree, or bought special Hospice-themed glass baubles to take home to their own trees. Thanks to the exemplary customer service and initiative of Farmers’ staff, the baubles sold out.
