Every season, IDEAL Electrical sponsor the Number 10 jersey for the Wanganui Heartland Rugby team. With that sponsorship comes a rugby jersey which they are free to do with as they please. This is the second time the jersey has been raffled at the annual raceday, with proceeds being donated to Hospice Whanganui.
Ross Satherley of IDEAL says “we charge $5 for the tickets and the winner this year came from Hastings. In addition to the jersey the winner receives 6 tickets to the next home game for Wanganui with passes for the Corporate lounge to watch the game, so there will be a trip back to Wanga’s for the day to enjoy it all!
Ross says that Hospice is personal to him in that both his brother and his Dad passed away and the family had support of Hospice care during that time. Ross says of Hospice “it’s a worthy cause and they do so much in the community”.
