If you’ve ever wanted to learn how to dance, here’s your golden opportunity!

Twenty enthusiastic individuals from Whanganui will courageously step onto the dance floor to impress us with their newly acquired dance skills. Would you like to be one of those exceptional local stars?

We are seeking expressions of interest for the Inaugural ‘Dancing for Hospice’ event!!

Criteria for selecting our dancers include:

  • Previous dance experience: Whether you had a brief tap dancing stint at age 5 or shuffled through a few steps at your wedding, no experience is required, with less experience being preferred.
  • Commitment to 15 weeks of practice: Candidates must dedicate time to weekly dance lessons over 3.5 months and additional hours for perfecting their routine. The more practice, the better the performance in front of the audience.
  • Age requirement: Dancers must be 18 years or older.
  • Passion for supporting Hospice – You may be an active supporter for local charities or have a connection or experience with Hospice, your participation is even more special for us and we would love to hear and share your story.
  • Community involvement: We encourage dancers to gather support from their social circles and followers to increase backing for the event and Hospice. The more supporters you have, the greater your chances for the People’s Choice Award.

Representing a business or organization? Besides gaining new dance skills, this experience offers a valuable chance to promote yourself and your business within the Whanganui community.

Embrace the joy of dance, have fun, and make a positive impact on yourself, your community, and Hospice Whanganui. Take the step by signing up and sending your expression of interest to renaek@hospicewhanganui.org.nz.
