A free education and support programme for family and friends of Hospice patients, who care for their loved ones.

Our service supports you while you care for your loved one and the programme is held over three consecutive Thursday afternoons, 1pm-3pm. The date that appears on this calendar entry is the first date of the three sessions.

Session 1 – Introduction

What to expect at the end of life / managing the changes including fluids, food, medications, mouth care.

Session 2 – Challenges

Non-medical practicalities including medical alarms / wills / funerals / EPOA / social & emotional impact / a lighter moment – bring something to share.

Session 3 – Planning & self-care practicalities

Moving & handling / hygiene & skin cares / ways to avoid falls / self-care & relaxation.
