Hospice Whanganui is a specialist service that provides 24/7 palliative care for patients and their whānau in the Whanganui region. Our aim is to help people to live well with the time they have left, and to provide support wherever our people choose to be. You will be part of a responsive, inter-disciplinary team, where everyone’s contribution is valued equally, and everyone has a crucial part to play in providing excellent care to patients with a life-limiting condition.

We need a dynamic and engaging Registered Nurse who is looking to make a real difference to the lives of those with a life-limiting illness, across our diverse Whanganui community.  We are looking for someone who is passionate, quality-driven, flexible, and able to think in the moment, and who would enjoy working in people’s homes, and occasionally in our 5-bed in-patient unit, to ensure care is wrapped around the needs and wishes of our patients and their whānau.

Being located on 1.9 hectares of beautiful, tranquil gardens, this is a wonderful base to work from, alongside our outstanding team who demonstrate our core values every day:
