Mō te tūnga | About the role

The role leads our vibrant and specialist nursing team at an operational level, ensuring that they have the support, guidance and tools necessary to do their jobs to the highest standard. The role works closely with the wider leadership of Hospice Whanganui and is pivotal in developing a high-performing team and driving excellence through our service.

The successful candidate will also have opportunities to provide mentoring and training to their team as well as external health providers within the community where required.

This is a 40 hour per week role worked over 5 days – Monday to Friday.

Mōu | About you

This role would suit a senior nurse or an experienced nurse manager who has a special interest in palliative care. The ideal candidate will share a philosophy of care that empowers patients to be in control of their own wellbeing and providing care in patients’ chosen place of residence.  You will value the opportunity to work with our diverse community and to instill patient-centered care in all aspects of our mahi.
