Grief Loss and Bereavement for Professionals
One Session: 9:00am - 12:00pm, 20 March 2025
A study session for those who work with, or support, individuals experiencing a
life limiting illness and/or their whānau.
Aimed at offering an understanding of the grief journey that often begins from
time of diagnosis, learning how best to support people and how to identify when
specialist inputs might be needed.
Course Content
Understanding anticipatory grief.
Understanding bereavement and the factors which may affect the grieving
process.
Effective and compassionate communication with the bereaved.
